Fort Rock - Took this after quickly visiting the state park day use area to look at what is left of an extinct volcano that was in a prehistoric lake that is extinct as the volcano. (9/18/2023)

Fossil The Fossil post office was established on February 28, 1876, on Thomas Benton Hoover's ranch along Hoover Creek. He named the place Fossil after finding fossils in a clay-like rock formation on his ranch. (9/1/25)

Glendale - I was parked further forward next to the green building, but as soon as I crossed the street to take the photo, the car that was behind me left, so I crossed back over and backed the car in front of the P.O., walked back across, took the photo, and then returned to the car. Gold Hill - According to the locals, a gold assay office built in the area in 1904 slid from its foundation in the early teens, coming to rest at an odd angle. Odd angles seem to create an illusion of objects seemingly rolling uphill. We stopped, took this picture and rolled right out of town. (10/04/21)

Helix - There was a big ol' farm truck sitting right in front of this PO and I was going to wait him out but gave up. When I got out of my car to walk across the street to take my photo, they started to pull out but stopped. He asked if everything was OK. I said yes and told him I was taking a picture of every post office in the state. To which he replied, "I guess I better get out of your way." (8/16/25)
