When Donna started with the drop foot, we knew that her days of driving a manual transmission car were over. I started searching for another Mini Cooper but with an automatic transmission. We were in Klamath Falls at the time, and finding a car like that was nearly impossible. I turned to one of those newfangled online car-buying options and found just the thing at a CarMax in Salem. We drove the 250 miles and got a room at a hotel. The next day we traded one Mini for another and drove home. When I bought the second Miata I didn’t have room for three cars, so it was sold to Donna’s youngest brother.
