Big Bike Back
The tandem bicycle was wider than the Miata, but just an inch or so less than a traffic lane. Interestingly, the Tandem's wheelbase is almost as long as the Miata's.
Christmas in New Orleans
Naturally we drove the Miata to New Orleans from Aiken that first year. And naturally, on the way home on the Interstate we got a crack in the windshield that required a complete replacement windshield.

This was for the 1991 Miata Club of America's 2nd national gathering in Savannah, GA. We were regulated to the next to the back row because our bikes on the back would block somebody's baby.
