Not wanting to rest on our laurels after our smashing success of casting a current remake of Casablanca, we plunged right into another classic movie that we would have remade today, The Wizard of OZ.

I wouldn’t recommend Jim Carrey for any part in any movie. I’m just glad he didn’t get the Willy Wonka part.
I have trouble with Mr. Carey as the star, but with the right director and as part of an ensemble I think we can make it work. I’m also not a big fan of Mr. Williams as he can be a little over the top too, but I hoping that if we give him free reign in the other roles, the taxi driver and Emerald City guard, he will tone the Wizard and Professor Marvel scenes down a notch or two.
