Donna and I take a 2 week whirlwind trip through 6 western states visiting National Monuments, a cattle ranch and one man's wacky vision.

The first 48 are from a visit to family and friends on a week long "vacation" in April. We flew into DC and rented a car. Took the monument tour, drove BMWs before making our way to CT, then NJ before returning to Dulles to fly home. The last 24 are from a return trip for the 4th of July week for a family funeral. We drove up and back in the Miata.

Eight days on the northwest coast of North America. The first 4 were spent in the town of Snohomish, WA about 30 miles north of Seattle and famous for being the home of Donna's youngest brother and his family. Then two in Canada with the final 2 spent on the Olympic Peninsula.

For Thanksgiving Donna and I visited her sister and family in Palm City, Florida. We took the slow scenic route down and the fast highway back home.

Donna and I visit the great northwest. Two days visiting her brother, his wife and the baby to be named later in Snohomish, WA. We stayed 15 miles away in Mukilteo on the Puget Sound. Then we headed south to the resort area of Cannon Beach, OR for a couple of nights. We finished the trip in Tacoma, WA before flying home.

The idea for this gallery was germinated way back in 1989 when we first moved here. Donna was out on the assembly line talking with one of the workers there and casually asked what she had done over the weekend. When the response came back as, I went to Denmark, Donna thought, WOW. But she kind of doubted it, as that seemed a long way to go for just a weekend. It wasn't until later that day that one of Donna's office counterparts explained that the woman had probably meant the city of Denmark, SC.
