But I’m not the only one. The little sci-fi show that could from BBC America is getting its own panel at the upcoming Comic Con and now Entertainment Weekly has given the show one of the bonus covers for this week.
I have now watched the first season of Orphan Black 2.4 times* and thought maybe I’ll buy the DVDs that came out today. I did some searching for a DVD review site to see if anyone had a list of any extras that might be included and found one at DVD Talk. There are only three piddling extras and one of which I’ve already seen as it was available on YouTube.
The reviewer effervesced so much about the clarity and crispness of the Blu-ray picture that I considered spending the extra five bucks for that version, but didn’t think I could talk Donna into spending the extra $200 for the Blu-ray home theater system we’d need to play it…so I bought just the regular disc version. I wonder how much difference there will be between the uncompressed DVD video compared to the downloaded .mp4files? I guess I’ll find out next week.
*On Sunday Donna asked to finish watching the last four episodes she hadn’t seen yet, in spite of any possible “gory” moments, because I wouldn’t stop talking about and/or trying to hook my fellow co-workers on the show.
