T Plus Six Days

Close up of the MoonA little more than six days into the Luminix mission we received some photos back of surprising clarity from the sunny side of Planet 52’s moon Bownce. The surface is fairly smooth with little cratering. At this point we are not sure what to attribute the unusual coloring to.

Started down, still down.

How many readers realized that they are being “mooned”? Is there life on that orb? Will the Luminix mission orbiter return for another close pass and additional photos? How will scientists react if the coloration is gone when the next pass is made?

How old are you? Stupid me, I couldn’t figure out what this photo was until I clicked on it. Suddenly, it was painfully clear. Did your spouse OK this one?

  3. Mike – the lab is going over some new imagery now. I think you will be surprised at the intensity of color in them.

Rae – Mission Control did not OK the first photo release, but after seeing the response from the public, did not take disciplinary action.
