A spray can of Garnet Red paint was on my doorstep after work tonight. Now let’s see if I can remove the mirror from the windsheild without breaking either one. At least two of the half dozen threads I read on Miata.net mentioned breaking the windsheild. 😯

I noticed on a Mazdaspeed Miata that the paint on the rearview mirror stops at the seam where the front piece connects to the rear piece. This means the bezel you see around the mirror is still black.
Not sure if that matters to you but I thought I would pass it along.
The Mazdaspeed unit is just a cover, the stock mirror is underneath it. That is why the color changes. I plan on masking it with tape so that the part of the mirror facing the interior stays black. Saturday is the target date for me to do the painting.
